Frequently asked questions
Can I avoid shipping if I live in the Cleveland area?
See the "Find Me" section on my website for Northeast Ohio-area markets where you can find me selling. http://batterdough.com/find-me
It may be possible to arrange to pick up an order at one of these markets. Local pickups can also be arranged. Please message me to see if this might be possible.
Who do you use to ship your items?
I ship via UPS or USPS -- whichever has the quickest estimated delivery time based on delivery address.
Do you offer free shipping?
No, I currently don't. I try to keep my prices as low as possible which doesn't allow for me to absorb shipping costs.
I always refund shipping overage charges. This usually happens when buying multiple items shipped to the same address. I try to ship everything together when possible to keep shipping costs low and I refund any overage charges after shipping.
Items that have shipping included in the price ship via USPS Priority Mail or UPS (whichever provides the quickest delivery as determined by delivery address) and are calculated for 1 item.
Can I cancel my order?
Because my items are made to order cancellations are generally not accepted. If I have not started to make your order it may be possible to cancel. If a mix has been ordered and it has not yet been packaged to ship it may be possible to cancel.
Return to Sender
Items ship to the address the buyer has input to Etsy. If an item is "returned to sender" I will resend the item for an additional shipping fee to cover the cost to resend to the correct address. I will create a custom listing for shipping.
If an item is a mix and the purchaser does not want to the item reshipped, I will refund the purchaser the cost of their order minus shipping fees. If the item is perishable -- cookies, treat box, rice crispy treats, etc -- I can not offer a refund on returned items.
Do you offer expedited shipping?
I do! Please contact me to see options and receive pricing. There may be an additional fee to shorten the turnaround time to make your order.
How long do the sugar cookies stay fresh?
Sugar cookies are best when enjoyed within 2 weeks of receiving.
They also freeze very well. Freeze them in their original packaging, transfer to a Ziplock freezer bag or place in an airtight container between layers of parchment paper. Freeze for up to 6 months. Let them sit at room temperature for 30 minutes to defrost.
